The holiday season is hectic BUT it's also a ton of fun! With party after party, a gal on-the-go needs a wardrobe that can take her from work to that fabulous cocktail party or dinner date. On our mission, Afiya and I were looking for office-friendly basics that could be transformed into a chic, sexy, fabulous outfit for the evening. We knew finding great accessories would be key, as would be finding outfit additions that could be neatly and compactly packed…. no one wants to be lugging a huge bag full of shoes, makeup and clothing to work every day. We immediately headed to French Connection, as we both love their clothing. This season is better than EVER!!! (I think I have bought at least 50% of the collection - no joke!) There were so many fabulous dresses, cute wide belts, great blouses, and so much more. Going from daytime professional to glam gal doesn't have to involve a lot of effort. Just tuck that crisp white shirt in, swap a plain tight for a patterned or fishnet option, change your ballet flats for a high rise pump, and last but not least, PILE ON THE JEWELLERY!! I've been going through my Mr. T moment for a few years now (my floor director at Cityline always groans when she tries to attach my microphone among the layers and layers of necklaces). But as every glamour girl knows, nothing says nighttime glam like a stack of glittering bangles (from H&M) or a layering of pearl, chain and fabric necklaces. Happy Holiday Dressing!!!	This is the season of work parties, cocktails, and other holiday functions. Fun? Definitely! A fashion challenge? Not necessarily. Transitioning from office appropriate attire to evening glam without lugging a ton of stuff to work can be easy. The trick is in accessories and layers (find everything and more at STYLESENSE). A fun dress topped with a cardigan is perfect for day, but once evening hits, lose the cardigan, pile on the accessories and pull out a bold clutch. Ta da! A whole new look. It's a good idea to keep a "fashion emergency kit" (patent black heels, tank dress, clutch, opaque tights and a few pieces of inexpensive statement costume jewellery) in your car or office so that you can be ready to go in a flash, even if you forgot about plans or get an impromptu invite. Think of it like a superpower: Clark Kent by day, Superman (or woman as the case may be) by night. Only with a much more fashionable option than a blue leotard.
