Grace Kelly, Babe Paley, Coco Chanel, Talitha Getty...the list goes on and on! Ever since I can remember, style and fashion icons have shaped my life – from the clothing I wear to the parties I love to throw. After all, life is too short for one not to be fabulous!

I strongly believe that all of us have a sense of style – it sometimes just needs to be awakened and cultivated. With a little practice and an open imagination I know anyone can transform their style and their life – what could be more inspiring!

I travel (obsessively!) to style capitals such as Paris, London, NYC and Miami sourcing and seeking fashion inspiration. I regularly bring these tips for a "fashionable life" to Citytv viewers as a CityLine Lifestyle Expert.

In my spare time I shop for shoes, obsess over my dinner party menus and contribute to a number of style publications including The Globe and Mail. I also work as an interior stylist – you can check out my portfolio and a series of DIY articles on my website.

I've always had a love for fashion and home décor and used to bribe my younger sisters and neighbourhood friends to participate in my 'pageants' with the promise of grand prizes such as bags of chips, Archie comics and other miscellaneous fare that I thought would sway them to rehearsals on summer afternoons. They would then execute my (strict) vision to a packed house of parents. Another favourite tween activity was to study the Ikea and Consumers Distributing (remember them?) catalogues – then spending hours cutting and pasting images to design my inspiration board of the perfect room. When those catalogues arrived it was heaven (I swear, I actually had friends!)

I suppose that it's only fitting that I ended up in a career reporting as a style and shopping expert for Canadian publications such as LOULOU magazine and Canadian House & Home. Today, you can see me as a guest expert on shows such as Breakfast Television, CityLine, Entertainment Tonight Canada, and Steven & Chris. I continue to indulge my love of cutting and pasting (only now it's electronic) lovely images and must-have items as the founder and creative director of the fashion and beauty blog The Style House.
